Align Investment GmbH is an independent alternative asset platform which originates, structures, advises and manages private capital investments on behalf of institutional investors, family offices and wealthy individuals. Investments are focused primarily on providing financial support for mid and large cap companies for the execution of strategic transactions.
Since founding Align Investment in 2012, Chris has sought to use his broad industry experience and network to support value creation in numerous assets. Over the past years, this has included capital raising for a mix of companies (from start-up to more established across multiple industries), turnaround situations from an advisory and operative capacity, and supporting disruptive strategies via digitalization. Chris often sits on Boards and maintains stakes in the activities he supports. He also employs a collaborative approach, drawing upon his network from across the world to unify the expertise and competence of professionals ideally suited to the task at hand.
Prior to Align Investment, Chris was a Managing Director at UniCredit Bank AG based in Munich. During his 15 years tenure within the UniCredit Group, he was responsible for the Group's European Direct Equity Investment business, established and managed the Group's Private Equity Fund Investment activity and was a senior member of the Leveraged Finance Division. He held board positions at 3 Portfolio investment companies and also sat on bank steering committees.
Prior to UniCredit, Chris worked as a Relationship Manager covering Consumer Goods and Commodity clients for Société Générale in London. Chris holds a First Class B.A. Hons from the University of Keele. Although a native Englishman, Chris moved to Bavaria/Tirol in the late 90’s to establish himself as a true European. He speaks German, French and Spanish.
